Dispersion of light


Light dispersion and of, as shown in the figure below, when light passes through a prism or the like, the angle of refraction is called the different phenomena by the difference of each wavelength (refer to wave of light).

Phenomena such as the above will happen by the speed of light is changed by the difference of the wavelength of the light. Since the speed of light is made faster as the wavelength of light is long, the optical wavelength of the light is long refractive index decreases.
If you look at the figure above, from table of color of nature, light waves are in the order of red (the longest wave length) at the top to purple (the shortest wave length) at the bottom
